Kim Hedges Assignments-Week of November 29thOUR STUDENT TEACHER IS HERE!!! HER NAME IS ASHLEY STEPHENS. SHE WILL BE UNTIL DECEMBER. SHE WILL BEGIN TEACHING SOME OF THE SUBJECT AREAS THIS WEEK AND I WILL CONTINUE TO ADD A SUBJECT EACH WEEK UNTIL SHE IS TEACHING FULL TIME IN OUR ROOM. ANY QUESTIONS JUST CALL. NOTES: Please send a note if your child is going home a different way. There is a lot of confusion at the end of the day. Be looking for Spelling List. They are sent home on Monday's on orange paper. Homework will be noted in your students planner by either highlighting the item or circling the item. Please initial the homework when your student has completed it. You don't need to sign the bottom if you initial at the top. If there is no homework please sign the bottom of the planner. This lets us know that you have checked it over. Don't forget to check JMC. This allows you to monitor your childs grades as I put in scores. I put in a lot of scores on Friday's or Monday's due to the testing we do on Friday. Reading: We will begin reading "More Stories Jullian Tells". The test will be on Friday. Math: We will are still working on Chapter 5. Please continue to work on addition and subtraction facts at home. A good web site to review concepts learned this far is www.eduplace.com. Science: We finished Chapter 2A and will return to the social studies book this week. We will begin Daily Science again this week with a quiz on Friday. Social Studies/Daily Geography: We are starting Chapter 9 this week. HOMEWORK: Please have your child read 20 minutes every night. Weekly Tests: I have listed the tests that will occur weekly so you can plan in advance and know what and when your child will need to be bringing things home to study. I will also give tests in math, science and social studies throughout the year and will try and give you a week to 5 days notice.
