I presently oversee between 45-50 students who are doing online college level coursework. Five students are enrolled in Advanced Placement U. S. History.

The students are required to provide a weekly progress report and print their grades for me on a regular basis. The majority of the students are using their class time productively.

Just a reminder that the grades for the college classes will not appear on the report card at the end of the first quarter. I will be making another grade report to you via email within the next 3 weeks (earlier if I have a concern.) When the college courses are completed around the middle of December, the students will use their class time as a study hall.

If your student is considering enrolling in another college course second semester, I suggest that the list of distance learning courses available through Southeastern Community College be reviewed as soon as they become available.
