January 23rd - 28th

Tuesday - Study the preterite "marker" words and start working on writing over your Hispanic article.  Brinig your article to class on Thursday, January 26th.

Thursday - Preterito pages 114 - 120.  Remember you will have a "Despues de la tarea" handout to see if you understood the homework next time we meet.   Please review your homework before you come to class on Monday!  Are you working on your "Noticias" article?  You will be presenting February 4th. 

January 31st - February 4th

Monday - Complete the entire preterito packet.  Remember to practice for your Friday presentation.  TEST over the preterito packet next week.

Friday - Study the entire preterito packet.  TEST on Tuesday over the packet.  One of the translations will be on the test.

February 7th - 11th

Tuesday - Read about URUGAUY

Thursday - Go over the "markers" for the imperfect and the endings for AR verbs.

Feb 14th - 18th

Monday - Study the endings for the imperfect AR/ER and IR verbs  -  Know some of the markers words/phrases before we meet.

Wednesday - complete pages 137-141 from your purple IMPERFECT packet.  Also, study the imperfect/preterite rules.

Friday - Complete pages 149 - 153 - Do not translate 153 (top part) - Study the imperfect/preterito rules - QUIZ on TUESDAY - next week!   Also, bring in your draft in English or Spanish.....when I was in middle school..............

March 1st - 4th

Tuesday - Complete the remainder of the imperfect packet.  Also, bring in your draft in English or Spanish.....when I was in middle school..............

Thursday - Please bring in your completed draft in English and Spanish for your next presentation before you come to class on Monday. 

March 7th - 11th

Monday - Study the Imperfecto and Preterit rules - you should be familiar with them by now. 

Wednesday:  We willl continue working on both the preterite and the imperfecto until next Tuesday.  You will have a test next Thursday over the preterite and imperfect.  You will also be writing a composition using the preterito and imperfecto for the test.  Study the IMPERFECTO/PRETERITO reglas.

March 14th - 18th

Tuesday - HW:  Study your preterito and imperfecto reglas...Test this Thursday.  Also, start working on your cultural project.  We will revisit the library lab on Thursday to complete the research over your project. 

March 21st - 25th

Monday - HW:  review the new vocabulary + read the "Into the depths of Franco's Spain: Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno)"  Quiz over the movie - next week on Thursday - Questions over the movie - due next Thursday

Wednesday - Organize your Spanish folder - you will be writing a Spanish composition this Friday.  No outside compositions accepted.  Also, review your rubirc for compositions before you come into class on Friday.  HW:  Answer the questions on Franco and Pan's Labyrinth. Due this Friday.

Friday - HW:  Study your new vocabulary.  Also, study/organize your present tense information - In class composition over the present tense next time we meet.

March 29th - 31st

Tuesday- Finish the movie - Pan's Labyrinth - HW:  Study your new vocabulary and review your handouts and movie notes.  Quiz over the movie this Thursday.

Thursday - Read and review the Future and Conditional tense handout before we meet again.

April 4th - 8th

Tuesday - Review and complete pages 171-172 and start memorizing the 12 irregular verbs on page 174.  Also, remember to continue working on your cultural project outside of class.

April 11th - 15th

Monday - Review the Conditional packet - memorize the 12 irregular verbs

Wednesday - Review the Conditional packet - memorize the 12 irregular verbs.  Complete the Conditional packet and be ready to present your Conditional project this Friday.  Do you know the 12 irregular verbs in the Conditional? 

Friday - Review and complete the Future tense 1st couple of pages -  Hasta el martes!

April 19th - HW: Complete pages 161-163 – even ones + the translation.  QUIZ over the common expressions of future time (page 160 - future packet)  on Tuesday, April 26^th. 

May 2^nd – Monday - You will work on the “FUTURE project in class until 2:20”  - Go to your assigned elementary class by 2:30 – 3:00 – you will only be in the classes for 30-35 minutes.   Continue working on the future tense project. 

May 4^th – Wednesday - You will work on the FUTURE project until 2:20 p.m. -  Go to your assigned elementary class by 2:30 – 3:00 – you will only be in the classes for 30-35 minutes.   HW:  Complete pages 167 – 169 – even ones + the translation on page 169.  Continue working on the future tense project. 

May 6^th – Friday – You will work on the FUTURE project until 2:20 -  Go to your assigned elementary class by 2:30 – 3:00 – you will only be in the classes for 30-35 minutes.   Study your Conditional/Future packet.   Quiz over the conditional and future tense on May 10^th.  Continue working on the future tense project. 

May 10^th – Quiz over the conditional and future tense today.  Future tense project presentations today.  Starting Don Quixote book + tú commands. 

May 12^th  - ******Noticias presentation***** Be ready to present.  HW:  Read, "A Brief History of Argentina" and "Evita" - complete your reading before Tuesdya, May 16th. 

 May 16^th – Reviewing basic Spanish grammar - HW:  Review your notes over basic grammar.  HW:  Evita reading!

May 20^th -  PRESENT your cultural project, today – IN SPANISH – NO more than 3-4 minutes per person.   EVITA readings/movies - Take notes over Evita  HW:  read your handout over EVITA.

May 24^th – Review your grammar packets.  EVITA writing. 

May 26th - Review your grammar packets.  EVITA writing - Final.
