4/23 BROCHURES ARE DUE!  TEST TODAY OVER ROCKS! 

4/19 Vocab bingo or some other review game. 

4/17 Time in library to finish and/or print.  BROCHURES ARE DUE WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE DOOR ON 4/23!!!  2nd half of this block--you will work on a review sheet.

4/5 "You are a travel agent" (research and make a brochure).  Today, you will get info from 2 book sources. 

4/3 Worksheet (20 questions) about all 3 rock types. 

3/30 Read and highlight igneous rocks packet.  Define vocab and summarize sections. 

3/28 Metamorphic rocks and "T-notes" (draw AND use words to define key concepts) 

3/26 Sedimentary Rocks fill-in-the-blank notesheet.  Do Questions 1, 2, 4 pg 127 and 2, 3, 4 pg 132. 

3/20 and 3/22 Mineral Identification lab (and some notes over minerals). Also answer Questions:  1, 2, 5, 6 pg 83.

3/16 TEST Stars, Galaxies etc. test 

3/14 (Review Sheet) Stars, Galaxies, etc. test.   

3/12 Notes over galaxies and cosmology.  Make your own crossword puzzle using AT LEAST 18 vocab words from this unit (which includes, telescopes (ch 28), solar system (section 29.4), and Chapter 30 & 31 (sun, stars, galaxies and cosmology).  This is due when you walk through the door next time.  

3/8 Open-note quiz over Sun notes that you took last time.  Star notes. Q 1, 2, 4, 5, 8-10, 15, 21, 22 pg 830. 

3/6 Take your own Sun notes Section 30.1.  Answer the 5 questions written on the board and turn in. Open note quiz next time.

3/2 Meteorites research in the library or computer lab.  Notesheet (fill in the blank) over 29.4. 

2/29 SETI activity.   

2/27 finish movie.  Headlines activity.  Newspaper "article" (as written by you) is due next time. 

2/21 & 2/23 Turn in telescopes "bubble" sheet from last time.  Movie (watch the interferometry on the telescopes!) Worksheet with questions should be filled out as you watch the movie, as later you'll be asked to write a story about the movie.  The worksheet will NOT be graded but it will help you with the story assignment.
