Physics Assignment Page:  please do not work ahead....plans may change!

Assignments are in reverse order:  (new assignments on top, older to the bottom)

12/5 (Notes) over Ch 6 (Newton's 3rd Law).  End Ch 6 questions:  1,3, 4, 6, 8, 25, 30, 34. 

12/1 Newton's 2nd Law (notesheet).  End of Ch 5 Questions pg 71-73:  3-6, 8, 10, 11, 17, 19, 23, 24, 29, 42. 

11/29 Go over (Tic-Tac-Toe) options.  Watch a Khan Academy video over forces.  (Notes) over Force diagrams.  Go to concourse and draw 3 force diagrams.   

11/22 Share your notes over Ch 4 sections. 

11/18 Break up into groups...take notes over your Ch 4 sections.  (become an expert over your sections) 

11/16 More Trigonometry/vectors packet.  Dress warmly, b/c if weather cooperates, we'll be doing a lab outside! 

11/14 Vectors notes and worksheet over vectors. 

11/10 Lab speed and acceleration.  (balls on ramps, balls dropped from bleachers) 

11/8 Read Ch 3 and take notes in the blue book over projectiles.  Show notes for points. 

11/4 Red book questions:  pg 109 Q 27, pg 111 Q 38 & 44, pg 112 Q 46, 49, 54a&b, and page 114 Q 66, 69. 

11/2 Notes over speed and acceleration.  RED book: pg 103 questions 28-30 and pg 106 Q 31, 33. 

10/31 Read Sections 2.5-2.9 pg 17-24, blue book.  Do End of Ch 2 questions:  1-12, 24, 35, 36, 42, 52. 

10/27  Read Sections 2.1-2.4 in your blue book.  Go over motion diagrams.  Go to concourse--do 5 things to measure speed and make motion diagrams for. 

10/25 Show our projects to more TAG students.   

10/21  More presenting of projects, plus show our projects to TAG students.

10/19 Light and Optics Project DUE!!!!  Object and Paper must be ready to go when you walk in the door!  (you will be given a few minutes to get your project/object set up and ready to present to the class)  (this is worth around half of your quarter 1 grade!  the due date is firm-no excuses!)

10/6 through 10/18 Work days!!!   

10/4 TEST OVER LIGHT AND OPTICS!!!

9/12 Notes over reflection (Ch 29).  Notes over curved mirrors.  Curved mirror worksheet.  (ray diagrams)   

9/8 Book questions End of Ch 28:  1, 2, 9, 10, 18, 21, 22, 32, 35-in partners if you wish.  Time in the computer lab to look up ideas for the light and optics project.   

9/6 End of Ch 27 questions due.  Read Ch 28 over Color and take your own notes.  Color the Color worksheet.   

9/1 Read Ch 27.  Light notes.  Look at polarizers.  End of Ch 27 questions:  4, 8, 16, 28, 34, 36 pg 419-422.   

8/30 Sort and Select vocab words worksheet from Light and Optics unit.  Make a quilt block over 2 of the vocab words. 

8/26 Final Paper Tower Activity.  Time in library to look up ideas about light and optics project. 

8/24 Turn in parent forms.  Paper Tower Activity.  PRACTICE.

8/22 First Day information.  Parent survey and parent signature on the Classroom Expectations are due for points next time.
