- I provide differentiated assignments so that the students are working on material that is most appropriate for them.
- Grading papers: All papers are worth 10 points. I figure their percentage and turn it into a ten point assignment. Likewise, all tests are worth 30 points. Again I figure out their percentage and turn it into a thirty point assignment.
- Chapter reviews are due the day of the test and are graded on an all or nothing policy. They are worth 5 points of participation.
- Extra Credit: there are three extra credit opportunities available each chapter that are due on test day, however they can be turned in sooner. There is an extra credit board that is worth 5 points extra credit. This is posted at the beginning of the chapter. There is a study guide that is passed out a week before the test and is worth 5 points extra credit. The third opportunity is a project that is available from the beginning of the chapter. It is worth full credit on their worst assignment.
- Incomplete papers: I grade what is turned in. If nothing is turned in the day that it is due it is a zero. All papers are due the day after they are assigned.
