*Note: Every class period begins with a bell  ringer. If a student is absent, the date must be written in their notebook along with the word absent to avoid losing points for the missed bell ringer. Without this documentation, it will be assumed that the student was in school and did not complete assigned work.

The Quarter 3 Project is due on Friday, March 13th at 11:59 PM. There will be a midway checkpoint on February 14th, at which point the first 7 paragraphs of the project should be drafted. There will be time during class to work, but students should plan for some outside of class work to ensure they will be finished in time. Plan to have at least a week or two for revision and editing. Students may contact me to come in before or after school to work. Recess and study hall are also great options. The public library is a great resource to utilize outside of school time as well.

Daily work and assignments may change. If you have been absent, be sure to see me the day you return, and I can provide you with the work missed. The handbook will be followed for the allotment of make up days for work missed. If you were absent when an assignment was due, it is your responsibility to turn it in upon return.

Late work can be turned in to receive 50% credit for up to one week after the original due date. When the one week period passes after the original due date of the assignment, late work will no longer be accepted for a grade. Absent work will continue to follow guidelines in the planner.
