On May 7th, Mediapolis High School students gathered together to participate in the annual Dragon Boat Competition hosted by Burlington High School Student Council. At Big Hollow, teams from multiple schools in the area raced to the beat of their own drum to be the first to grab the flag. The American Dragon Boat Association did an amazing job of teaching students how to paddle together by counting and watching the people at the front. Together we raced twice to an unfortunate defeat. But there is always next year!
