Dear Mediapolis Community,
We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new principal, Lindsay Gunn, who was approved at the January 12th Special Session Board Meeting. Lindsay will begin in her new leadership role as we start the semester. We will begin immediately in searching for a replacement to fill her role as 3rd grade teacher.
We want to extend a warm welcome to Lindsay, who was selected after an extensive and collaborative selection process involving a dedicated committee. The selection committee was comprised of representatives from various stakeholders, including staff members, parents, community members, and school board members. The administration worked diligently to identify a candidate who embodies the values and vision of our school. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all involved in this rigorous selection process. Your dedication, thoughtful insights, and commitment to finding the best candidate have been invaluable in making this decision possible.
After careful consideration and thorough evaluation, it became evident that Mrs. Gunn possessed the qualities necessary to lead our school toward continued success. Mrs. Gunn brings 16 years of experience in education and leadership. She graduated from Viterbo University with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. Previous to working in Mediapolis, she served as a building and district leader on various leadership teams. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that prioritizes student growth and achievement. When asked what excites her most about her new role, Mrs. Gunn said, “I am excited to embark on this journey and learn from each of you, to work hand-in-hand to overcome challenges, and to celebrate the successes that undoubtedly lie ahead. Let's create an environment where curiosity is nurtured, creativity is encouraged, and every student feels valued.”
