Dear Mediapolis Community,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I write this letter to introduce our newest addition to the Mediapolis district team, Brittony Cummings, who will be stepping into the role of School Business Official. As a community that values transparency, financial stewardship, and the well-being of our students and staff, Brittony will be an invaluable asset to our school district.
Mrs. Cummings graduated from the University of Iowa in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She comes with over 17 years of experience in accounting. Her most recent position is working for Southeastern Community College in the business department. When asked what excites her most about this position, she replied, “ I am passionate about supporting the school’s educational vision and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. As the school business officer, I will leverage my skills to oversee the school’s business functions, optimize the use of resources, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to students, staff, and community members.”
While Mrs. Cummings brings a wealth of experience to the position, she also possesses a genuine passion and a sincere commitment to the well-being of our students and community. When asked what excites her most about serving in this role, Brittony replied, “I am excited most about being given the opportunity to become more involved with the community I call home and serve in the great school district that resides in it. Brittony’s belief in the transformative power of education resonates deeply with our mission and values. It will undoubtedly fuel her efforts to support our schools' ongoing growth and success.
We are confident that Brittony will be a valuable asset to our school district, and we look forward to the positive impact she will have on the financial stability and growth of our educational community.
