Summer activities start tonight, and we have lots of home baseball and softball games coming up! Our concession stand needs volunteers for each event.
If you have a child participating in a summer sport, we ask that each family sign up for at least 2 volunteer slots per child. Volunteers can include parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, community members, and high school students.
High school students can earn Silver Cord hours for volunteering!
Congrats to the Mediapolis Boys Golf Team for qualifying for the state golf meet! We believe this is the first time in school history. Congrats Coach Worrall and Coach Wischmeier for all your hard work! Beyond proud of all of you!

Mediapolis vs Ft. Madison baseball (scheduled for Tuesday, May 19) has been cancelled due to scheduling, weather and other issues. Thank you for your understanding.
Spring has been busy down at the shop and we wanted to give an update to what we've been up to. Last week students in Mr. Fritz's and Mrs. Imhoff's CTSOs helped with the Southeast Iowa Build My Future event hosted by SEIBA at SCC's West Burlington Campus. This event hosted over 200 7th graders from the region in which they got hands-on experiences with the various trades and industry in the region. Students with Mr. Fritz's applied sciences classes have also been busy finishing up year end projects with the help of local industry partners. S&G Construction assisted in placing the new storage shed for the Greenhouse that Construction and Building Trades had built in the Fall semester. The welding students have also been hard at work collaborating with Affinitas by building handrails for Des Moines County Conservation and Big Hollow Beach access. We would like to thank everyone for their support of the program and appreciate all of the community support.

Dear Mediapolis School Community,
We want to provide you with an update regarding a reported incident this evening involving Mediapolis students. A student made statements that were interpreted as a possible threat to other students at school tomorrow.
The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Department has been involved this evening. This matter was handled swiftly and is now under investigation by law enforcement. To ensure the safety of students and staff, the student accused of making a threat will not be at school until the investigation has concluded and appropriate action has been taken. We want to reassure you that ongoing safety measures are in place to protect everyone during this time.
The Mediapolis School District and local law enforcement are actively working together to maintain a safe learning environment for tomorrow and beyond. Our School Resource Officer (SRO) has been notified, and increased oversight and visibility are being implemented within our schools.
We take all threats seriously and appreciate the cooperation of students, families, staff, and law enforcement as we work together to ensure the safety of our school community. We encourage families to remind students of the importance of reporting any concerning statements or behavior to a trusted adult or school official. Your partnership is vital in keeping our school safe.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
