JH Girls Track Practice has been cancelled for Tuesday, April 22
JV Girls Soccer has been cancelled for Tuesday, April 22.
JH Soccer and Varsity Girls Soccer will still play as scheduled.

We had a special visitor today in the elementary!!
This afternoon, we celebrated our 5th graders at their DARE graduation! Officer Breckon has dedicated the past 10 weeks to educating our students about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and he was genuinely impressed with their efforts. A special congratulations to Rosalie Hobbs, our DARE essay winner!
Here are our three teams who competed against one another today. B.O.B.’s Army and Bookworms United will be moving on to compete at the Regional Battle of the Books competition on Monday, May 5th. Congratulations!!!
Today was a special day for our 3rd Graders! We received a wonderful donation of "Just Like Caitlin" books from the Jensen family. Dickson and Luann Jensen have generously donated thousands of books to children throughout the Hawkeye State and in the Indianapolis area. Thank you, Jensen family!!

Girls Soccer for tonight (4-15) will be played at Culver Stockton College in Canton, Mo. Address is 160 Wildcat Drive. The fields are located to the north of the baseball field.
There will be no JV Girls or Boys Soccer tonight vs Wapello. Varsity Girls will play at 5:00 with Varsity Boys to follow.
We held our Spring Signing Day on Wednesday. Congrats to Alton Wonderlich (Loras-FB), Jackson Woods (Loras-FB), Noah Schmidgall (Wartburg-Track), Ellie Vincent (SCC-CC), Carl Hines (Graceland-Soccer), Ben Rice (Central-Soccer), Blake Willems (Central-Soccer) and Lance Ludens (Central-Baseball).
These student athletes have excelled in a wide variety of activities at Mediapolis. They are perfect examples of what a "student-athlete" should be. Best of luck in the future!!
Both Middle School Girls and Boys Track and Field Practice has been cancelled for Thursday, April 10.
Both Middle School Girls and Boys Track and Field will be dismissed at 2:45 on Friday, April 11. Both teams will meet in the MS gym at 2:45 to get uniforms prior to heading to WACO.
In conjunction with the Des Moines County Sheriff's Department, Mediapolis Schools conducted an intruder DRILL this morning. This was a drill to help improve the security and safety of our students.
We will be honoring the following Seniors at a signing day ceremony on Wednesday, April 9th (12:00) in the HS Gym: Alton Wonderlich, Jackson Woods, Noah Schmidgall, Ben Rice, Blake Willems, Lance Ludens, Ellie Vincent and Carl Hines.

Tomorrow the Mediapolis Jazz Ensemble will travel to Iowa State University to perform at the Iowa Jazz Championships. To celebrate this great honor, they performed for the 3-5 graders today and did a phenomenal job! Good Luck MJE!
A big thank you to Brian Krieger and Loraine Guerra from Amazon for joining us this morning! They presented to our 4th and 5th grade students, explaining their roles within the company and showing us the robotics used at Amazon. We also had the chance to hear from our own students, with three 4th graders and three 5th graders presenting their Robo Wunderkind to their classmates. It was a wonderful and informative morning!
