Mrs. Griffis' Advanced Lit classes are finishing up their unit on the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe. Students had to create a pair of Crocs with charms that symbolized what they learned about Poe's life or his short stories and poems. What a fun way to wrap up October and their third unit!

In Mrs. Pierson's class, students have been diving deep into the life cycle of stars by creating their own models. Modeling in science plays a crucial role in helping students grasp complex concepts that can't be directly observed. By building and presenting their own star life cycle models, students brought the cosmos into the classroom, transforming abstract ideas into tangible, visual representations. The 6-8th grade students celebrated reaching their WIG goal (Wildly Important Goal) with an outside fun reward. Students participated in dodgeball, yard games and free recess on Monday afternoon.
