JH and HS Cross Country at Winfield on Thursday, October 1 has been cancelled.

JH and HS Cross Country will now be going to Williamsburg on Tuesday, September 29.

In conjunction with the Des Moines County Sheriff's Department, a planned, routine K9 search of the lockers and parking lot was conducted at Mediapolis Middle/High School this morning.

The safety and security of our students and staff are among our highest priorities. These preventative measures are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and drug-free learning environment for everyone in our building.

Friday, September 25: Varsity Football only at Wilton (7:00 PM)

Monday, September 28: JV Football vs Wilton. Game will be at Mediapolis. (6:00 PM)

Yesterday morning, Des Moines County CEO brought together today’s business leaders and the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs at their first Investor Breakfast. CEO class meets every morning with area businesses to discuss practices and entrepreneurship skills. Mediapolis Community Schools is lucky to have six students participating in this inaugural class including Annabelle, Mason, Will, Elsa, Katelyn, and Sydney. By the end of the school year, they will each have created a start-up business adventure. A special thank you to the CEO investors for showing up, connecting with our students, Patty (the program facilitator), and continuing to invest in their future. Area supporters makes this program possible. Thank you to the Art Center of Burlington for the perfect setting, The Beancounter Cafe / Beancounter Coffeehouse & Drinkery for catering the delicious breakfast, and the students, Patty, and CEO Board members for making the morning meaningful.
