
Mediapolis, Iowa- The Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council at the Department of Education announced that the Mediapolis Community School District is one of 31 school districts to receive the 2026-27 STEM BEST® (Businesses Engaging Students and Teachers) Program award. The STEM BEST® Program brings schools and businesses together to provide students with real-world workplace experiences, introduce them to businesses and career opportunities in Iowa, and help them gain career-ready skills.
The STEM BEST® Program encourages teachers and industry professionals to work side-by-side to develop a work-based learning model that integrates STEM subjects such as mathematics and science with workplace skills.
We appreciate the support of our local partners Afinitas and MTC Technologies during the application process. STEM Council's investment: VR-Enhanced WBL Program. This grant will allow Mediapolis students to engage in virtual career exploration and innovative learning across various courses, including, but not limited to, Science and World Studies. The total grant awarded to Mediapolis is $50,000. #MEPOPride

'26-'27 LIttle Bulldog Preschool Information/Application Form

The CEO program is coming in the fall of 2026! All students who will be Juniors and Seniors in Des Moines County schools are eligible to participate in this program. Students will design a business plan, pitch it, and receive advice from local business leaders. Space is limited, and students interested in this program must submit an application and an essay. Information on this will be provided by our counseling department at a later date.
Students will be selected based on their essays and intent in a blind selection process. Students selected will meet every day from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and will be off-site at local businesses and at classes held at various locations to be announced at a later date. Students selected will have an incredible opportunity to network with many local leaders to build connections for future opportunities.

JV Boys and Varsity Girls Wrestling at Keokuk has been postponed to Jan 3.
Due to unsafe road conditions, Varsity Boys Wrestling will not be headed to Grinnell
We ask that no one be at the school on Saturday. This will allow for maintenance crew to clean the lots after the snow has concluded.
